Una nueva y alocada colección protagonizada por Bridget Vanderpuff, una niña con el potencial de conventirse en una mezcla de Matilda y Pippi Calzaslargas: valiente, independiente y muy segura de sí misma. Bridget vive en el orfanato de la señorita Agria, y hasta la fecha se la ha dado todo bien. Pero cuando por fin consigue burlar a la huraña señorita Agria y ser adoptada por el señor Vanderpuff, el bondadoso panadero del pueblo, descubrirá que es un cero a la izquierda haciendo pasteles. Y precisamente eso es lo que tendrá que hacer si quiere salvar al pobre señor Vanderpuff de la ira de la malvada señorita Agria y quedarse a vivir en su nueva y amada casa para siempre.
