Completan el volumen una «Bibliografía» de referencia preparada por Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Rea y un «Glosario» de voces utilizadas en la novela acompañado de un «índice onomástico» para ayudar a su lectura, que han preparado conjuntamente Agustín Panizo y Carlos Do­mínguez. La Real Academia Española y la Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española quieren agradecer a todos ellos su participación en esta conmemoración del cincuentenario de La Ciudad y los Perros, a la que invitan a todos los hispanohablantes.
