Island Dreaming features 20 recent projects from Amanda LIndroth, each more enticing than the next. Lindroth brings her signature style of boldly colored fabrics, rattan and cane seating, canopied beds, and straw matting to homes ranging from cozy cottages to grand houses in Lyford Cay, on Nassau; Albany, on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas; Baker’s Bay, on the island of Great Guana Cay in the Abacos; Manhattan; and Palm Beach, Florida. La muerte de Hans Magnus Enzensberger el pasado mes de noviembre [2022] me causó un fortísimo impacto. No en vano había sido uno de mis primeros autores en Anagrama y, después, uno de mis mejores amigos del mundo editorial. Empecé a publicar a Enzensberger de una manera, digamos, casual. Él y Gabriel Ferrater habían trabado una buena amistad como brillantísimos asesores de sus respectivos editores en el Premio Formentor. A raíz de ello, Ferrater persuadió a Barral, con mucho énfasis, para que publicara Einzelheiten. Sin embargo, en la primera visita como editor novato que hice a Carlos, me comentó que en nueve años Ferrater no había entregado ni siquiera una página de la tan deseada traducción y me propuso si yo lo quería publicar para aplacar las iras de la editorial Suhrkamp y del propio Enzensberger.
