La Revolución rusa, escrita por Rosa Luxemburg durante su estancia en la cárcel de Breslau, en Alemania, es una reflexión sobre las primeras medidas tomadas por la dirección bolchevique, en principio destinada a ser publicada en la revista de la Liga Espartaquista. Sin embargo, no vio la luz hasta 1922, tres años después del asesinato de su autora, debido al posicionamiento que esta había tomado con respecto al bolchevismo. En el escrito, Rosa mostraba su solidaridad con la Revolución rusa al tiempo que hacía una ardorosa defensa de la democracia que refleja fielmente la triple e inseparable dimensión de su pensamiento y su obra: socialista, demócrata y revolucionaria. El texto, muchas veces criticado y ocultado, merece hoy nuevos debates, pues su implacable lucha contra la guerra y el radicalismo con el que defendía la relación entre la libertad política y la igualdad social siguen teniendo, hoy como ayer, el mismo interés que cuando fue redactado.
