Más tarde, el saber se orientó hacia el conocimiento sobre el futuro y la utopía que nos esperaba. Hoy, en cambio, parece atrapado en la necesidad de comprender un presente sofocante y demasiado extenso; pasado y futuro han convergido y nos ahogamos en su vórtice, confundiendo el saber con la mera comunicación. Pero este libro no es una elegía por la sabiduría perdida. Es una invitación a reflexionar sobre qué es para nosotros el saber y cómo podemos transmitirlo a quienes ocupen después el mundo.

La figura de la primera poeta del mundo occidental está envuelta en un misterio que ha suscitado curiosidad, admiración y rechazo a lo largo de los siglos.
